Ok! lets do this.... First blog of 2018 (sorry its very delayed) is going to be around myths that surround building muscle and fitness in general.
I thought that this would be a good Blog to start the year because with January and February being filled with new people with there new year new me! attitude I think it is easy to get lost in every ones so called "FACTS"
Below are some common "Myths" that people swear by but I want to set the record straight that we are going to kick some Myths ass.

ALWAYS SKIP REST DAYS
No No No and NO!! I would say that this is one of the most dangerous Myths out there.
The whole point on you going to the gym and trying to build muscle is to break and rip the muscle fibres, Training ever day will over train your muscles meaning that it could actually make them not grow! Without having a rest, your not allowing your muscles to rebuild and repair the tears you did in the gym.
YOU NEED TO TAKE STEROIDS TO GAIN MUSCLE
This is also a huge lie!!!
Those who claim you need to take steroids to gain muscle otherwise there is no point.... These people are either being an absolute baby when it comes down to their work ethic in the gym and are half assing it around or these people cant keep to the lifestyle - What I mean by that is that cant keep to a straight muscle building and nutrition plan.
Its very simple if you train right and fuel your body with the correct nutrition when growth and GAINS!!! will come. Gaining muscle is a slow process that's why you have to train for the body you want, not the body you have.
ANABOLIC WINDOW
So I'm guessing you have heard of the anabolic window?
No ? - The anabolic window is a theory that once you have exercised either cardio or weight training you have either 30 to 60 minutes to get your post workout meal in.
Most bodybuilders swear by the anabolic window. In this window they believe that your body is more primed to accept nutrients, and of course mainly protein and carbs.
Scientific studies have shown that the window is a lot longer and can even be up to serveral hours longer.
Think about it... If you are eating correctly because you want to become the better you and hit your goals then your body isn't going to automatically say to its say " WOW protein lets move that now all around the body"
EATING LATE AT NIGHT WILL MAKE YOU FAT
Calories are just calories. There is no time that will magically stop your body from using the foods you have eaten for fuel and storing them on your hips.
Many bodybuilders and athletes will have a protein shake or a meal before bed before they sleep, this is for the body to have a consistent supply of nutrients flowing through the body.
As long as you are eating a health and balance diet then you can eat all your meals at 11 o'clock at night and you wont get fat.
SEA SALT IS BETTER THEN REGULAR SALT
People prefer Sea salt to table salt as they believe it contains less Sodium... Does it ??
This will probably surprise many people, Your everyday table salt comes from a mine and contains roughly 2,300 milligrams of sodium per Teaspoon. Sea Salt on the other hand comes from evaporating seawater, but the type of salt also contains roughly around 2,300 milligrams of sodium per Teaspoon.
This makes them pretty dahm equal doesn't it.
